Connecting People with God and One Another
God's Word is filled with story after story, book after book, of God pursuing a relationship with us, that we might commune with Him and be blessed by Him. At Gateway we believe that this is the simplest statement of our purpose for being, to have and enjoy a fulfilled relationship with Him and one another.
The good news of the gospel is that, while we have separated ourselves from God, He has paid the price so that we can return to Him. We want every person, no exceptions, to find out about the amazing love of God. We strive to show God's love by loving those around us.
Learning and Applying God's Word
"What is the purpose to life? Where did I come from? Is there life after death? How do I get to heaven? Why is the world full of evil? Why do I struggle to do good? What do I look for in a mate? How can I have a successful marriage? How can I be a good parent? How can I change? What really matters in life? How can I handle the unfair circumstances and bad events of life victoriously?"
Upon placing our faith in Christ, Scripture encourages us to cultivate and grow in our relationship with Him. This is a daily renewal of His Word, power, strength and peace. How do we do all these things? By learning and applying God's Word. If you have honest answers the Bible really does have honest answers. Answers to help with every challenge that we face. If you find your heart full of questions, we'd love journey with you as you learn what answers God has provided.
Serving Others in Love
Jesus was the greatest servant this world has ever seen. Our desire at Gateway Community Church is to serve one another in ministry, as well as serve our workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, communities and world. Because Christ did not come to be served, but to serve others, we must do the same. It is our belief that serving others is serving God, not figuratively but in actuality. Serving others is the end result of loving them, to view others as more important than yourself is to truly show the love of Christ to a world that is starving for God.
